I still remember the exact moment the game finished updating on July 1, 2026. The title screen shifted from last season’s menu into a crimson, stylish takeover that could only mean one thing: COD Mobile Season 6 — Take Your Heart was live, and Persona 5 Royal had arrived. I had expected a crossover, but I was not ready for how deeply the Phantom Thieves would twist Plunder, Multiplayer, and even the seasonal rewards. This is my account of grinding through the first week, losing plenty of Combat Axe matches, and slowly unlocking some of the most gorgeous blueprints I have ever seen.

My first drop into Isolated was chaotic in the best way. Plunder is no longer just about looting cash. The new Plunder Treasure Hunt mode spawns huge red spheres called Domains across the map. When you step inside, the environment transforms into a Persona-inspired battleground. I remember rushing toward one with my squad, only to realize we had to locate a treasure chest and survive three waves of Shadow enemies while rival squads were doing the same. Finishing a Domain gave us cash and Persona masks, which stayed active as bonuses for the rest of the match. It felt like a boss rush hidden inside a battle royale, and I loved every second of it.

Throwable Frenzy is the new 5v5 Multiplayer mode, and it is pure chaos. There are no traditional Loadouts or Scorestreaks. Everyone is throwing Combat Axes at targets that spawn randomly around the map. You also have to eliminate enemy players to slow their progress, which turns every engagement into a deadly game of dodge-the-axe. Before the match starts, you can equip special buffs to tweak your playstyle. The highest score when the timer expires wins. I spent my first few matches missing easy targets, but once I learned the spawn patterns, it became oddly satisfying.

Season 6 also kicked off a fresh Ranked series. In Multiplayer Ranked Play, the SO-14 — Onyx Wrath Weapon Blueprint is the prize, and it looks sharp. If Battle Royale is more your thing, climbing the ranks unlocks the Enigma — Zavesa Operator Skin. I am not a top-tier grinder, but knowing that the ranked rewards actually fit the season’s stylish tone made me push harder than usual.

The dedicated Persona 5 Royal event space is one of my favorite additions. It features themed shooting galleries inspired by several Palaces from the game’s storyline. Completing challenges and earning milestone rewards unlocks Persona-themed cosmetics, weapon rewards, calling cards, charms, and even a Nuclear Strike customization option. I walked in expecting a simple gallery and left with a new charm and a burning need to finish every challenge.

Season 6 is not only about shadows and hearts. A summer-themed event runs alongside the crossover, offering Urban Tracker — Summer Sunrise and the M16 — Sparkling Citrus Weapon Blueprint. There are also additional cosmetics, charms, and themed rewards. Other seasonal activities reward the new Secret Cache weapon and the Legendary MG42 — High Octane. I have not unlocked the MG42 yet, but it is at the top of my list.

The Battle Pass itself is stacked. The free track introduces the FSS Hurricane SMG, a weapon built for sustained close-range fights with excellent firepower and mobility. I immediately fell in love with its rate of fire. The free pass also includes the VTOL Jet Scorestreak, which launches an opening missile barrage before hovering over the battlefield and attacking nearby enemies. It feels like calling in a personal air show.

The Premium Pass adds several Operator Skins, including High Priest of Chaos — Judgement and Kryptis — Refraction. Weapon blueprints include the CX9 — Custos Sanguinis and FSS Hurricane — Shattered Reflection, which is based on the season’s new weapon. Ground Forces subscribers receive Nova — Lion’s Might, FAL — A Shadow in Red, and Backpack — A Shadow in Red. I upgraded my pass after one day because the FSS Hurricane blueprint alone was worth it.

The Challenge Pass lets you progress through Standard, Special, and Elite Missions to earn Tokens that can be exchanged for seasonal rewards. Notable items include the 3-Line Rifle — Variegated Corrosion Weapon Blueprint, Weapon Camo — Mission Debrief, and Weapon Charm — Newtonian. This system gives me a reason to log in daily without feeling like a chore.

For the big spenders and lucky few, the Mythic FSS Hurricane — Shadow Skyline Weapon Blueprint has a dark sci-fi design inspired by the world of shadows. The Draw also includes Samael — Hollow Regent Operator Skin, Tactical Melee — Spectral Spike, and Holger 26 — Shadow and Shade. I tried one draw, got a charm, and decided my wallet needed a nap.

The Operator Series Armory brings Persona 5 Royal characters into COD Mobile through themed Operator Skins: Cipher — Joker, Scylla — Panther, Alias — Queen, and Urban Tracker — Violet. These operators feature unique lobby entrances, themed menus, custom animations, and collection rewards such as the Legendary ORV — Morgana Vehicle Skin and a Mythic animated Calling Card. I watched a teammate run around as Joker, and the lobby entrance alone made me consider opening my wallet again.

The Weapon Series Armory is just as impressive. It includes four Legendary Weapon Blueprints inspired by Persona 5 Royal: LK24 — Arsène, QQ9 — Carmen, Type 63 — Johanna, and RAM-7 — Cendrillon. Each blueprint comes with unique elimination effects and evolving visual effects during matches. Additional rewards include themed collection bonuses and the Antelope A20 — Phantom Show vehicle skin. I have only seen these in killcams, but they are mesmerizing.

Looking back at my first week in Season 6, I can say that Take Your Heart is one of the most confident seasons COD Mobile has released in 2026. Whether you are grinding Ranked, chasing Persona cosmetics in the event space, or just throwing Combat Axes like a maniac in Throwable Frenzy, there is something here for almost every playstyle. I expected a simple collaboration, but I got a full-on Phantom Thieves experience that changed how I play Plunder and Multiplayer.
